Wolff and Kreyman Advance to ITA Regional Doubles Quarterfinal

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team had a strong day at the ITA Carolina Regionals Friday as five out of six Deacons won their opening round singles match, and Jonathan Wolff and Danny Kreyman reached the quarterfinals of the doubles draw.
Kreyman and Wolff took down the seventh-seeded team of David Holland and Chris Mengel (Duke) 8-6. The Deacon duo will take on No. 2 seeds Joey Burkhart and Jose Hernandez in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
In singles, Zach Leslie earned a straight set victory over the Citadel's Dillon Berkabile, and David Hopkins took down Furman's Alex Christ 6-2, 6-2. Danny Kreyman defeated Tom Delme (College of Charleston 6-3, 6-1, and Conner Sherwood easily advanced over UNC Asheville's Nathan White 6-1, 6-3. Amogh Prabhakar rounded out the victorious Deacons with a 6-4, 6-0 win over UNC Asheville's Jason Brobeck.
Wake Forest's top three players, Tripper Carleton, Iain Atkinson and Jonathan Wolff received first round byes in the tournament and will join the rest of their teammates in second round singles action tomorrow.
