Anna Nosenko Finishes 63rd At NCAA Cross Country Championships

TERRE HAUTE, IND. - Wake Forest junior cross country runner Anna Nosenko finished in 63rd place at the NCAA Championships Monday afternoon at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course located near the host campus of the meet, Indiana State University.
Nosenko clocked in at 21:04.5, just 58 seconds off the pace of individual champion Sheila Reid of Villanova. Villanova also clinched the women's team title for the second consecutive year with 120 points. Florida State collected 154 points to finish close behind in second place.
Nosenko was the only Demon Deacon to compete in the NCAA Championships after finishing in third place overall at the Southeast Regional meet on November 13th in Louisville, Ky.
The NCAA Championships marked the conclusion of a very successful cross country season for Nosenko, as she finished first for the Deacons in each of the four meets that she competed in this season. She clinched the individual title at the Charlotte Invitational back on October 1 in a time of 16:38.4 on the 5k course.
