Wake Forest Track & Field Announces 2011 Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's and women's track & field teams have announced their schedules for the 2011 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.
Both teams will begin their seasons with an appearance at the Virginia Tech Invitational in Blacksburg, Va. on January 14 and 15.
Throughout the indoor season, both teams will travel to Blacksburg, Va. for five separate events, including the ACC Championships from February 24-26.
The men's and women's squads are also expected to attend the 2011 NCAA Indoor Qualifiers in South Bend, Ind. or Blacksburg, Va. from March 4-5. The indoor season will conclude with the 2011 NCAA Indoor Championships, which is scheduled for March 11-12 in College Station, Texas.
The Demon Deacon track and field teams will launch their 2011 outdoor season with the Wake Forest Open in Winston-Salem on March 18-19. The teams will also host the Deacon Combined Events at Wake Forest on May 13-14.
The Deacons are scheduled to attend the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship Preliminaries in Bloomington, Ind. from May 27-29. The 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place soon after, from June 9-12, in Des Moines, Iowa.
The 2011 Wake Forest track and field season will conclude with both teams' appearance at the USATF Jr./Sr. Championships in Eugene, Ore. From June 23-27.
