Wake Forest will end its Florida road swing on Friday night as it takes on Jacksonville. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Swisher Gym.

The Deacs are also looking to end its current three-game losing streak. Wake opened the season 4-0 but has dropped four of its last five games.

After averaging 93.5 points in the first four games, the Deacs have yet to top the 70-point mark since. Despite the losing streak however, Wake is still outscoring its opponents by over 10 points per game.

Senior Brittany Waters is leading the team with 12.0 points per game and is just 14 points away from becoming the 18th Demon Deacon to record 1,000 career points. She is also averaging 4.7 rebounds per contest and has scored 10 or more points in each of the last four games.

Freshman point guard Chelsea Douglas has began her career well, averaging 10.9 points in the first nine games and has made a team-high 13 three-pointers. Douglas has started each of the last three games and has scored in double-figures five times.

In the front court, sophomore Sandra Garcia leads the team with 7.1 rebounds per game and is averaging almost 11 points a contest. The Deacs will welcome her return as she missed the South Florida game after suffering a concussion in practice.

Jacksonville started the season similar to Wake, winning four of the first games but has dropped its last two. The Dolphins also stand 1-1 in the Atlantic Sun. They downed Stetson 76-61 on Dec. 2 and then fell 98-47 to Florida Gulf Coast two days later.

Gigi Thomas and Lynsey Paschal are both averaging over 11 points per game while Tanes Richardson is averaging a double-double with 10.6 points and 10.5 rebounds.

Petersen Nearing Wins Milestone
Wake Forest head coach Mike Petersen is just five wins shy of 100 as the Demon Deacons head coach. In his six-plus seasons, Petersen has amassed a record of 95-96 (.473).
