Deacons Face No. 1 North Carolina on Wednesday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team will face top-ranked North Carolina on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Demon Deacons (7-8, 1-2 ACC) split road matches over the weekend, posting a 4-3 upset over No. 13 Georgia Tech but falling 6-1 to No. 9 Clemson. Kathryn Talbert leads the Deacons with a 2-1 conference record. Sasha Kulikova has the team best 11-4 dual match singles record, playing mostly at No. 1.
North Carolina is 16-3 and 3-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tar Heels have two players ranked in the ITA's Top 50, Sanaz Marand (47th) and Katrina Tsang (42nd). Tsang leads the Heels with a 7-7 record at No. 1 singles.
The Demon Deacons will return to Winston-Salem to host a pair of conference matches this weekend. On Friday the Deac host No. 17 Florida State at 3 p.m. and continue with No. 11 Miami on Saturday at 12 p.m.
