Cleary singled deep in the hole at shortstop with Poutier scoring on the play.
The Demon Deacons quickly regained the lead, scoring five times in the bottom of the second. Conway started the inning with a double over the head of the center fielder. Schneider, the Terrapin first baseman, made a great catch for the first out of the inning, making a great catch while leaning over the tarp down the right field line to retire Mac Williamson for the first out of the inning.
