Complete 2010 Schedule
WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Wake Forest Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Annie Bennett announced the 2010 men's and women's cross country schedules on Monday. Both teams will open with the Wake Forest Relays in Winston-Salem on Sept. 3.
The two squads will then remain at home to face ACC-foe Duke in a dual competition on Saturday, Sept. 11. Both of the home events will be run on the Water Tower Field on campus.
After the opening two weekends, the teams will make their first of two trips to Blacksburg, Va., for the Virginia Tech Invitational on Sept. 17. They will also return to Blacksburg in early November for the Hokie Invitational.
Coming off a bye week at the end of September, the Deacon harriers will get a look at the NCAA Southeast Regional course as they compete at the Greater Louisville XC Classic on Oct. 2. From there, the teams will make a trip to the Penn State Invitational on Oct. 15, before getting a week off to prepare for the ACC Championships, which are being held this season in Boston, Mass., on Oct. 30.
A week later, the teams will be at the Hokie Invitational as a final tune-up for the NCAA Southeast Regionals which are set for Saturday, Nov. 13. The NCAA Championships will then be held in Terre Haute, Ind., for the seventh-straight season at the Wabash Family Sports Center on Monday, Nov. 22.
