D'Agostino Called Up to U-23 National Team Camp

CHICAGO - Former Wake Forest women's soccer player Bianca D'Agostino has been called up to the United States U-23 National Team camp for the second time in a month, and will train with the team at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. from Jan 9-16.
The camp will overlap with the full U.S. Women's National Team camp, which is also being held at The Home Depot Center from Jan. 8-14. Following the camp, D'Agostino, who graduated from Wake Forest in December, will await the 2011 Women's Professional Soccer Draft, which will be held in Baltimore, Md. on Jan. 14 in conjunction with the NSCAA Convention.
D'Agostino recently camped with the U-23s from Dec. 12-19 and has seen significant action with the team in recent years, having traveled to England with the squad in 2009 and also having camped twice with them earlier in 2010.
A midfielder from Longmeadow, Mass., D'Agostino served as co-captain of the Demon Deacons in 2010. She finished the year with two goals and five assists for a total of nine points, including a goal and an assist in the 2010 ACC Tournament to help lead Wake Forest to its first-ever ACC Championship. D'Agostino played in 91 games in her four-year career, totaling seven goals, 14 assists and 28 points.
