WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will continue the home stand this weekend with a pair of games. The Deacs host Coppin State on Friday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. and Kansas on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2:00 p.m. Both game will be at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
How to Catch the Game
Cabell Phillpot (play-by-play) and Roper Halverson (color) will call the action for both. Friday's game can be heard on the Wake Forest IMG College Sports Network.
Both games will also be streamed live online at WakeForestSports.com.
Last Time Out
The Demon Deacons opened the regular season with an 88-54 victory over visiting Monmouth.
A 13-2 run over the last five minutes of the first half helped Wake build a 22-point halftime lead. The Hawks cut the lead back down to 12 in the first three minutes of the second half but a 22-7 Deacon run put the game away.
Secily Ray recorded her 11th-career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
12 of the 14 Demon Deacons that played in the game scored at least one point.
Meet the Eagles
Coppin State is coming off a 13-17 season in 2010-11 and has started this year 1-1.
The Eagles lost their opening game to Robert Morris but rebounded with a 68-60 victory over Maryland-Baltimore Country on Wednesday.
CSU returns all five starters from last season, including MEAC Rookie of the Year Larrisa Carter.
The Eagles are coached by Derek Brown, who is in his 13th season at CSU and has a career record of 194-158.
Wake Forest holds a 5-0 record all-time against Coppin State.
Meet the Jawhawks
Kansas comes into the weekend at 2-0 on the year after wins over Western Michigan and Creighton.
The Jayhawks return four of five starters from a team that went 21-13 a year ago and made an appearance in the WNIT.
Kansas head coach .Bonnie Henrickson is in her eighth season and has a career-mark of 119-108.
Kansas won the only meeting with Wake Forest 105-100 in overtime in 1988.
