Wake Forest will head out on the road for just the second time this season when it takes on SMU. The game is schedule for 8:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at the Moody Coliseum.

  • Wake Forest fell to Howard Sunday evening 63-59 in overtime at the LJVM Coliseum.
  • Junior Sandra Garcia recorded her first double-double in over a year, finishing with a team-high 18 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Senior Secily Ray almost notched a double-double as she totaled 10 points and nine boards.
  • The Deacs took a 21-point lead early in the second half but Howard's Saadia Doyle led the Bison comeback as she scored 19 of the team's final 38 points.
  • Doyle finished the game with a season-high 28 points on 10-of-19 from the floor and 8-of-9 from the foul line.
  • As a team, the Bison were 21-of-23 from the foul line and committed just six turnovers after halftime.

  • SMU comes into the contest at 6-4 overall after knocking-off Texas A&M Corpus Christi Sunday evening, 73-64.
  • The Mustangs won four of their first five games before dropping three-straight.
  • Alisha Filmore had a break-out game against TAMU-Corpus Christi, making seven three pointers and finishing with 29 points. Filmore had made just six three pointers all season prior to the game.
  • Filmore is leading the team in scoring at 10.8 ppg and has also dished-out a team-high 24 assists.
  • Christine Elliott is averaging 9.3 ppg and is topping the team on the boards at almost eight rebounds per contest.
  • Mustang head coach Rhonda Rompola is in her 21st season coaching her alma mater. She has a career record of 371-239 and is the all-time winningest women's basketball coach in school-history.

  • This will be the fourth meeting all-time between SMU and Wake Forest.
  • The Deacs hold a 2-1 edge in the series after claiming a 66-49 victory last season in Winston-Salem.
