Team Records and Series Notes:
- Wake Forest falls to 8-16 on the year and 1-8 in ACC play. Miami is now 15-9 and 4-6 in conference action.
- The Demon Deacons still continue to lead the all-time series 8-5. The Hurricanes have now won three of the last four meetings against Wake Forest, and tonight marks the first time that Miami has defeated the Deacons at the Joel.
- Wake Forest will play its second home game of the week when the Deacons host rival NC State on Sunday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. The game will be televised on the ACC Network.
Wake Forest Team Notes:
- Key Run: Wake Forest went on a 12-2 run with Miami leading 24-15 to take their first lead of the night, 27-26, with 5:07 remaining in the first half.
- Key Stat: Miami led the points off turnovers by a 16-5 margin despite having 14 turnovers to the Deacons' 13.
- The Hurricanes also led the way in points in the paint, outscoring Wake 28-20 in that category as Reggie Johnson dominated inside with 25 points and seven boards on 8-of-10 shooting from the field.
- The one-point loss was the slimmest of the season for the Deacs, who previously had a two-point defeat against Presbyterian on December 21.
Wake Forest Individual Notes:
- C.J. Harris ended the game with a career-high 24 points on 3-of-3 shooting from the field and 17-of-18 shooting from the free throw line. Harris had a monster first half with 16 points, while shooting 9-for-10 from the FT line in the frame. Harris' previous career-high was a 20-point performance at North Carolina on Jan. 20, 2010.
- Harris' performance at the free throw line also set new career-highs in both free throws made and free throws attempted.
- Ty Walker was perfect from the field, scoring nine points on 4-for-4 shooting and grabbing five rebounds. Walker turned in a solid first half with seven points, three rebounds and two blocks before the break.
- Travis McKie reached double figures for the 18th time this season with 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting. McKie also finished the game with seven rebounds and two steals.
- J.T. Terrell turned in a solid all-around performance with 10 points, four assists and three rebounds. Terrell scored eight of his 10 points in the second half and had a potential game-winning 3-point shot attempt go in and out as time expired.
