BLOOMINGTON, IND. - Wake Forest sophomore Ben Lincoln finished eighth overall in the javelin throw at the NCAA Regionals Thursday afternoon at Indiana University's Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex.
With his eighth-place finish, Lincoln secured a spot in the NCAA Championships, which will be held June 8-11 in Des Moines, Iowa, on the campus of Drake University. The top twelve finishers in the javelin throw advanced to the Championships.
Lincoln's throw of 225-09 (68.81 meters) was his third-best mark of the season.

The top 24 finishers from the first round qualified for Friday's quarterfinal, where the top 12 finishers will then advance to the NCAA Championships.
In the 1500-meter run, freshman Alexander Rose turned in a time of 3:51.04 in his NCAA Regional debut, but fell three spots short of advancing to the quarterfinals, as he placed 27th overall.
The duo of Marcus Dillon and Paul Loeser will toe the line for the Deacs tomorrow evening in the quarterfinals of the 3,000-meter steeplechase at approximately 9:10 p.m. The top 12 finishers from the race will advance to the NCAA Championships.
