CHICAGO - Wake Forest goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe is one of 23 players who have been selected to train with the United States Under-23 National Team from May 15-21 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
The U-23s, which are under the direction of head coach Bill Irwin, are preparing for a June trip to Europe for several international matches.
Bledsoe joins the U-23 team for the first time but has previous experience with the U.S. Youth National Teams, having traveled to La Manga, Spain with the U-18 team last year.
As a freshman in 2010, Bledsoe started all 24 games in net for Wake Forest and was named the ACC Tournament MVP after stopping three penalty kicks to help the Demon Deacons take down Maryland in a shootout in the championship match to earn their first ACC title.
