Demon Deacons to Host WFU Fall Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team will welcome 14 teams to town this weekend for the Wake Forest Fall Invitational, which will be held from Friday through Sunday at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
Competing in the event will be players from Wake Forest, North Carolina, NC State, Norfolk State, Liberty, UNC Wilmington, Duke, Old Dominion, Richmond, Longwood, UNCG, Elon, Furman and Davidson.
Wake Forest will have eight representatives in the tournament: Sam Bloom, Anthony Delcore, Jon Ho, David Hopkins, Danny Kreyman, Adam Lee, Amogh Prabhakar and Conner Sherwood.
Hopkins, who is ranked No. 102 nationally in singles, and Prabhakar are seeded in the A1 Singles draw. Hopkins will open against UNCG's Randy Phillips, and Prabhakar will face Elon's Robert Lindgren. Delcore is also playing the A1 flight and will play Elon's Cameron Silverman to start the tournament.
No. 94 Danny Kreyman and Adam Lee are seeded in the A2 Singles draw with Kreyman playing his first match against Rafael Paez of NC State and Lee matching up against UNCG's Jimmy Dougherty. Ho will open against Davidson's Joe Schaefer in the first round of A2 Singles.
Bloom will play in the B Singles flight with his first match against Norfolk State's Dzmitry Zyhmantovich. In D1 Singles, Sherwood will open against Daniel Grauel of Norfolk State.
Ranked No. 17 nationally, Hopkins and Prabhakar are the top doubles seeds in the A Draw of the tournament and will play their first match against Liberty's Jorge Azuero and Siim Tuus. Kreyman and Lee will also team up in A Doubles, taking on Edward Becker and Harry Kelleher of Longwood in the first round.
In B Doubles, Delcore and Ho will face Dylan Trent and Aaron Wicker of Richmond in a first round match, while in C Doubles, Bloom and Sherwood will open against Liberty's Josiah Boda and Sergio Mourelo.
Friday will feature two rounds of doubles, beginning at 9 a.m., and one round of singles, beginning at 1 p.m.
