WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will host Georgia Tech on Wednesday evening for the first of two meetings with the Yellow Jackets in the Demon Deacons' final five games of the 2011-12 regular season. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Joel Coliseum.

• Wednesday's game will be televised regionally by Fox Sports. Rich Waltz (play-by-play) and Mike Gminski (color) will call the action.
• The game can be heard on the Wake Forest IMG College Sports Network and online at WakeForestSports.com. Stan Cotten (play-by-play) and Mark Freidinger (color) have the call.

Last Time Out
• Wake Forest (11-14, 2-9 ACC) is coming off a 78-58 loss to Clemson on Saturday in Winston-Salem. The Deacons led by as many as seven in the first half but saw the Tigers end the period on an 8-0 run to take a lead they would not relinquish in the second half.
C.J. Harris led the Deacons with 18 points, extending his double-figure scoring streak to 24 games.
Travis McKie scored 13 points and pulled down a team-high six rebounds, while Nikita Mescheriakov finished with 12 points for his second double-digit output in three games.

Today's Opponent
• Georgia Tech (9-15, 2-8 ACC) is coming off a 61-52 loss to NC State last Thursday in Atlanta. The Yellow Jackets, who have dropped seven of their past eight games, were idle this past weekend.
• Glen Rice, Jr. leads the Jackets in both scoring (13.1 ppg) and rebounding (6.6 rpg). Mfon Udofia leads Georgia Tech in assists (2.5 apg) and is second on the team in scoring (10.0 ppg).

Series History
• Wake Forest leads the all-time series with Georgia Tech, 36-35. The series dates back to the 1949-50 season when the Yellow Jackets came away with a 64-57 victory over the Deacons in Raleigh.
• The Deacons are 23-10 all-time against the Yellow Jackets at the Joel Coliseum. Wake Forest has won five of the past seven meetings there since 2004-05 and 10 of the last 13 since 1998-99.

Next Up...
• Wake Forest will head south to take on Miami on Saturday, Feb. 18, in Coral Gables. The Hurricanes are 15-8 overall and 6-4 in the ACC entering Wednesday's home game against No. 8-ranked North Carolina. Wake Forest leads the all-time series with Miami, 8-5.
• The Deacons will then have the mid-week off before hosting Boston College on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. The Eagles are 8-17 overall and 3-8 in the ACC entering Thursday's game at Maryland.
