Campus Kids Day Highlights Women's Tennis Weekend Matches

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team will battle two ACC opponents at home this weekend, facing No. 6 Miami on Saturday at 1 p.m. before taking on No. 40 Florida State on Sunday at noon.
The Demon Deacons (3-9, 0-3 ACC) will host a USTA Campus Kids' Day prior to Sunday's match against the Seminoles. The event, which is for children ages 5-14, will start at 11 a.m. and will feature a number of tennis-related activities as well as the opportunity to get autographs from the Wake Forest players. The event is free, and complimentary refreshments will be provided.
Wake Forest heads into the matches searching for its first conference win of the year. The Demon Deacons have been led this season by Kayla Duncan, who has posted four wins over ranked singles opponents, propelling her to No. 74 in the national singles rankings. The Demon Deacons have been one of the stronger doubles teams in the conference this season, and have taken the doubles point in eight of 12 matches.
Senior Ryann Cutillo heads into the weekend searching for her 100th victory as a Demon Deacon. The Kings Park, N.Y. native has won 56 singles matches and 41 doubles matches in her career, putting her three wins shy of the century mark.
Miami has once again established itself as one of the top teams in the country, holding a 12-1 (4-0 ACC) record and occupying the No. 6 spot in the national rankings. The Hurricanes have posted impressive victories over Texas, Ole Miss and Baylor this season and are fresh off of a 5-2 win over Georgia Tech.
No. 20 Anna Bartenstein has gone 10-1 at No. 1 doubles for the Miami squad, which also includes ranked players No. 32 Gabriela Mejia and No. 99 Lina Lileikite. The Canes have two ranked doubles teams in No. 28 Melissa Bolivar and Liat Zimmerman and No. 74 Mejia and Lileikite.
The Seminoles (7-6, 0-3 ACC) have had an up-and-down season but posted a 5-2 win over TCU in their most recent match. Francesca Segarelli has played No. 1 singles for FSU this year.
