Wake Forest's last postseason win over Maryland came in 1963 during the first round in Raleigh. The Deacons also beat the Terps in 1961 and in 1954, which was the first ACC Tournament ever held.
Wake Forest has never been the ninth seed in previous ACC Tournaments.
