Men's Golf Recruit Andrew Winters Wins Texas State Title

MONTGOMERY, Texas - Wake Forest men's golf recruit Andrew Winters fired rounds of 72-69 (-3) to win the Southwest Preparatory Conference State Title on Monday in Montgomery, Texas.

The tournament was played at the Woodforest Golf Club. Winters led his Kincaid High School team to its second state title in the past three seasons. Kincaid also won in 2010 behind Winters' runner-up finish. This is the third-straight season in which Winters has earned All-SPC honors.

Winters has enjoyed a stellar junior golf career in Texas and will join the Demon Deacons this fall.
