Lincoln Finishes 18th in Javelin at NCAA Championship

DES MOINES, Iowa - Wake Forest junior thrower Ben Lincoln finished 18th overall in the javelin throw at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday afternoon at Drake University.
Lincoln's top mark of the day came on his third attempt, when he threw for a distance of 223-7 (68.15 meters). He logged a distance of 215-0 (65.55 meters) on his first attempt and 217-9 (66.39 meters) on his second attempt.
Lincoln finishes the outdoor season as the school record-holder in the javelin with a toss of 240-3 (73.23 meters), in addition to earning All-ACC honors for the third consecutive season.
