WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The first week of the 2012 London Olympics is nearly in the books with several former Wake Forest student-athletes still in competition. Six former Demon Deacons, including three basketball and three field hockey players continued to play on the world stage.

Chris Paul, starting point guard for the United States, saw the most minutes on the floor in the 110-63 win over Tunisia. He dished out seven assists while chipping in two points.
Lithuania and Nigeria faced off, pitting two former Deacs against each other. Darius Songaila led the way for Lithuania with 12 points in the 72-53 victory. He also registered four rebounds and a steal. Al-Farouq Aminu tallied a double-double for the Nigerian squad with 12 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
