WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will open its 60th season of play in the Atlantic Coast Conference when the Demon Deacons take on the No. 1-ranked Duke Blue Devils on Saturday afternoon in Durham. Tip-off is scheduled for noon at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

• Saturday's game will be televised on ESPNU. Carter Blackburn (play-by-play) and Jay Williams (color) will call the action. • The game can also be heard on the Wake Forest IMG Sports Network and online at WakeForestSports.com. Stan Cotten (play-by-play) and Mark Freidinger (color) have the call.
Last Time Out
• Wake Forest is coming off a 66-59 win over Xavier in the Skip Prosser Classic on Wednesday in Winston-Salem. The Deacons used a late 12-0 run to erase their only second-half deficit and win their third straight game. • Travis McKie scored 19 points, grabbed eight rebounds and also had two assists, two blocks and two steals to lead the Deacons. • Codi Miller-McIntyre scored 16 points on an efficient 6-of-7 shooting, while C.J. Harris finished with 15 points on the night. Devin Thomas dominated the boards, grabbing a season-high 14 rebounds. • Wake Forest closed the first half on a 10-2 run to take control of the game. The Deacons then held the Musketeers scoreless over a four-minute stretch late in the second half to seal the win.
The Opposition
• No. 1-ranked Duke (13-0, 0-0 ACC) is coming off a 67-50 defeat of in-state rival Davidson on Wednesday in Charlotte. • Duke is led by Mason Plumlee who averages 18.8 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. The Blue Devils are a perfect 7-0 at home this season.
Series History
• Duke leads the all-time series with Wake Forest, 160-77. The Blue Devils have won each of the past five meetings, including twice last season. • The Wake Forest-Duke series is the oldest in the ACC, dating back to the 1906 season. The series is also the league's most frequently played, as it is in its 238th all-time meeting. • The 1906 meeting in Durham was the first-ever game for each program. Wake Forest came away with a 24-10 win.

• Wake Forest will host Virginia in its ACC home opener on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 9 p.m. The Cavaliers are 10-3 on the season entering Sunday's home game with North Carolina. • The Deacons will then host Boston College on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 4 p.m. The Eagles are 8-5 and have won five straight entering Saturday's home game against NC State.
