- The Demon Deacons begin a three-game western road swing as they head to Arizona on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
- The game is set to tip off at 1:00 p.m. ET from the McKale Center.
Last Time Out
- Wake Forest got a full team effort in a 92-65 victory Friday night over visiting Radford.
- Senior Chelsea Douglas finished with 22 points on five made three-pointers and junior Dearica Hamby had 17 points and five rebounds.
- Redshirt-freshman Kelila Atkinson made her Demon Deacon debut a memorable one. The Woodbridge, Va., native was 6-of-10 from the floor and 6-of-6 from the free throw line en route to finishing with 20 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
- Freshman Ataijah Taylor went 5-of-5 from the free throw line and finished with seven points while sophomore Kandice Ball scored a career-high six points and grabbed a career-high tying five rebounds.
- The Deacs put the full court pressure on right from the opening tip and forced 20 first half turnovers. That allowed them to double-up Radford at the break 54-27. Wake also dominated on the boards 46-28 and had 19 second chance points.
Wake Forest Storylines
- Senior Chelsea Douglas was the first player in school history to score 20 or more points in the first three games of a season. She leads the ACC in scoring (23.5) and three-pointers made (16).
- Douglas is currently 11th in school history with 1,228 career points and also 4th with 187 career three-pointers.
- Dearica Hamby has notched double-doubles in three-straight games. That is the first time she has done that in her career and she now has six double-doubles for her career.
The Opposition
- Arizona comes into the game with a 1-4 record overall.
- The Wildcats' victory came over UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 16.
- Candice Warthen leads the team in scoring at 17.4 points per game and is also dishing-out almost four assists per contests.
Series History
- This will be just the second meeting all-time between Wake Forest and Arizona.
- The Wildcats won the first meetings 63-47 in Tucson on Dec. 3, 1995.
Next Up...
- Wake Forest will head north to Reno, Nev., for the John Ascuaga's Nugget Classic hosted by Nevada.
- The Deacs will open the Nugget Classic against Cal on Nov. 29 and then play either Nevada or Idaho on Nov. 30.
