WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest begins the ACC season this weekend against in-state rival and top-ranked North Carolina with a three-game home series beginning Friday at 6 p.m.

Last Time Out
Charlotte bested Wake Forest 5-4 on Tuesday in Charlotte, N.C.
Matt Conway started the game on the mound, going 4.1 innings. He also went 2-for-4 at the plate, including a solo home run.
Jack Carey and Brett Armour both picked up two hits as well, as both players went 2-for-3 on the day. Conway, Carey and Armour accounted for all six Wake Forest hits.
This Week's Opponent
North Carolina won its 11th straight game to open the season on Tuesday with a 10-2 win over Davidson.
The 11-0 start is the best by a Tar Heel club since the 2000 squad won its first 21 games of the season.
Skye Bolt leads the squad with 19 hits and a .487 batting average. Cody Stubbs has a team-high 14 RBI followed by Colin Moran who has 12.
Saturday's projected starter, Benton Moss leads the club with a 3-0 record while maintaining a 1.50 ERA.
Series History
North Carolina leads the all-time series with Wake Forest 92-73-1.
Last season Wake Forest won the first game of a three-game series 7-6 in 12 innings. UNC took the next two games in Chapel HIll, N.C. and defeated the Deacs in opener of the ACC Tournament.
