Demon Deacons Begin CCU Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Michael Belardia finished first in the javelin on Friday as the Wake Forest track and field team opened the outdoor season at the CCU Invitational, hosted by Coastal Carolina University.
Belardia posted a mark of 62.30m while Patrick Donelan finished third with a distance of 59.98m.
Men's Javelin
Along with Belardia and Donelan, freshman Aiden McConnell finished 14th with a distance of 47.62.
Men's 4x800m Relay
The relay team of Kyle Graves, Nate Guthals, Anthony Marois and Alexander Rose took second in the 4x800m relay with a time of 7:50.16.
Women's Pole Vault
Katie Adair finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 3.50m.
Wake Forest continues competing in the CCU Invitational on Saturday with competition beginning at 10 a.m.
