
Kristinsdottir Opens NCAA Championship With 79

ATHENS, Ga. - Wake Forest junior Olafia Kristinsdottir opened the NCAA Championship with a round of 7-over 79 Tuesday morning at the University of Georgia Golf Club.
Kristinsdottir had a round opening nine, making five bogeys in the first seven holes. She then settled in a bit and made nine pars over the final 11 holes to finish with a 79. Kristinsdottir is tied for 108th after the first round.
Regan De Guzman of San Diego State made seven birdies in her career-best round of 5-under 67. She holds a two-shot lead over ACC Freshman of the Year Celine Boutier of Duke and the country's top-ranked player Stephanie Meadow of Alabama.
Kristinsdottir will begin round two at 12:45 p.m. off the tenth tee on Wednesday. Golfstat.com will have live scoring throughout the conclusion of the tournament.
