Wake Forest Tournament History:
- Wake Forest has qualified for and has been selected to the NCAA Regionals every year since the NCAA switched to the regional format in 1993.
- This will be the Demon Deacons fourth trip to the Central Regional.
- Out of the Demon Deacons' 20 previous appearances at the NCAA Regionals, Wake has advanced on to the NCAA Championships 13 times, including five out of the last seven seasons.
- Wake Forest won the East Regional in both 1994 and 1995, for its only two regional victories. In both tournaments, the Demon Deacons overcame three-shot deficits on the final day.
- The 1994 regional was played in East Lansing, Mich., on the campus of Michigan State. The Deacs used a final round 304 to overtake fellow ACC-rival Duke by five strokes. Stephanie Neill followed her second-place showing at the ACC Championships two weeks earlier with another runner-up finish after rounds of 70-75-74.
- In 1995, The Demon Deacons again came from three shots down entering the final round to win its second-straight regional title. Wake carded a final round 297, which was the lowest round of the day. The Deacs were led by Stephanie Neill, who finished third overall with a three-day total of 216.
- The Deacons will be looking to qualify for their 11th NCAA Championship in the last 16 years.
Wake Forest Notes:
- The Deacons are coming off a seventh place finish at the ACC Championship.
- Prior to the ACC Championship, the Deacons broke 300 in all three rounds at the Bryan National Collegiate, marking the first time that has happened this season, and finished in third place.
- Marissa Dodd claimed the third top-10 finish of her career by tying for 10th at the ACC Championship
- Dodd leads the team with a 75.6 scoring average.
- Freshman Mariana Sims notched her best finish of the season at the ACC Championship as she tied for 10th.
- Sims has played in all nine events this season.
- Sophomore Allison Emrey posted her first career top-5 finish as she fired a 1-under 71 at the rain-shortened Landfall Tradition.
- That was also Emrey's first under-par round of her career.
- Junior Olafia Kristinsdottir notched the second top-5 finish of her career by finishing tied for fourth at the Mason Rudolph Challenge.
- Sophomore Emily Wright opened the season at the Cougar Classic with a career-low round of 72.
