WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Anna Kozniuk scored twice on Tuesday as No. 18 Wake Forest defeated Davidson 5-1 at Kentner Stadium in a non-conference match up.

Jess Newak, Taylor Rhea and Emily Conroe each added goals in the win. Rhea, Christine Conroe, Newak and Kozniuk all tallied assists.

The Demon Deacons wasted no time scoring the first goal of the game as Jess Newak punched home a rebound just 2:51 into the first half. Katherine English scored off a corner for Davidson at 15:52 of the first half to even the game at 1-1.

Taylor Rhea tallied her second goal of the season just seven minutes later off a pass from Kozniuk that was the eventual game winning goal.

Following halftime, Kozniuk scored back-to-back with the first goal coming at 40:48 off a pass from Rhea while she scored just four minutes later off a corner from Newak and Christine Conroe.

Emily Conroe added her first goal of the season at 46:28 off a loose ball that she buried in the cage.

Valerie Dahmen made three saves in the win while Carolyn Macek made five saves for the Wildcats. Wake Forest outshot Davidson 18-6 for the game while limiting the Wildcats to just one shot in the second half.

Wake Forest is in action again on Friday when the Demon Deacons host Liberty at 4:30 p.m. at Kentner Stadium.
