Wake Forest Travels to James Madison
Wake Forest wraps up the non-conference schedule this weekend at the JMU Invitational.
The Demon Deacons will play host James Madison on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and then will take on Cleveland State on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Campbell at 5 p.m.

Last Time Out
Wake Forest won the UMKC Kangaroo Klassic tournament last weekend in Kansas City, Mo.
The Deacs defeated Eastern Illinois on Friday 3-0 before taking down Presbyterian 3-1 later that night. Wake Forest then beat host UMKC on Saturday 3-1 to take the tournament title.
Kristin Grissom was named the tournament MVP while Kylie Hargreaves and Megan Miller earned All-Tournament honors.
Wake Forest Storylines
Wake Forest is chasing its best start in school history. The Deacs went 10-1 in 2000 and have a chance to surpass that this weekend.
Kristin Grissom has been named the MVP of two tournaments this season. She was awarded the honor at the Deacon Invitational and the Kangaroo Klassic.
Freshman Sophia Dodd has recorded 269 assists this season as she has taken over the role as starting setter.
Kylie Hargreaves recorded 39 kills last weekend in three matches by tallying 13 kills in each contest. She also had a combined 34 kills and 12 total blocks.
The Opposition & Series History
James Madison and Wake Forest will face off for the first time since 2006. The series between the two is tied at 3-3 with the Deacs winning the last meeting 3-0 in 2006.
Wake Forest has never faced Cleveland State who has won four-straight.
The Demon Deacons defeated Campbell last season 3-0 and have never lost to the Camels holding a 7-0 advantage in the series.

Wake Forest returns home next weekend to open ACC competition against Virginia Tech on Sept. 27 and Virginia on Sept. 28 in Reynolds Gym.
