Wake Forest will look to carry over its momentum from Wednesday's thrilling win over NC State when the Demon Deacons take on the Clemson Tigers on Saturday afternoon in Clemson, S.C.
Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Littlejohn Coliseum. The game will be broadcast on the ACC Network and online on ESPN3 and theACC.com. It can also be heard on the Wake Forest IMG Sports Network.
Last Time Out
Wake Forest is coming off a 70-69 win over NC State on Wednesday in Winston-Salem. Codi Miller-McIntyre hit a driving layup with four seconds remaining for the game-winner, as the Demon Deacons battled back from an eight-point halftime deficit.
Wake Forest had led for most of the second half after trailing at halftime, but it was NC State who had the 69-68 lead after Desmond Lee knocked down two free throws with 10 seconds remaining. After a timeout, Miller-McIntyre threw a quick inbounds pass to Devin Thomas, who passed the ball right back to Miller-McIntyre, setting up a fast break down the right side. The sophomore went hard to the rim, finishing through a foul for the game-winner -- the first of his young career.
Miller-McIntyre finished with 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting for his eighth 20-point performance of the season.
Arnaud William Adala Moto posted his first career double-double with 15 points and a career-best 11 rebounds. He went 11-for-14 at the line, as Wake Forest finished 28-for-39 (72 percent) as a team.
Thomas had 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting, and Tyler Cavanaugh scored 10 points by hitting 3-of-4 from 3-point range.
Wake Forest Storylines
Since the start of ACC play, Arnaud William Adala Moto has averaged 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 48 percent (10-of-21) from the field and 73 percent (22-of-30) from the line.
Codi Miller-McIntyre has been one of the best guards in the ACC this season. The sophomore is the only player to rank in the top 10 in the ACC in each scoring (9th), assists (9th) and field goal percentage (8th).
Coron Williams has played 91 minutes over four conference games and has yet to commit a turnover. He has just four turnovers in 410 minutes on the season.
Series History
Wake Forest leads the all-time series with Clemson 98-56. The Tigers have won four straight in the series, including a 60-44 win at Littlejohn Coliseum last season.
The Deacons have still won 10 of the past 16 meetings and 17 of the last 24, dating back to the 1998-99 season.
Next Up...
Wake Forest will play its fourth road game in the past five when the Deacons take on Virginia Tech on Wednesday, Jan. 22, in Blacksburg. The Deacons are looking to avenge a narrow 66-65 setback there last year.
The Deacons will return to the Joel Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 25, to host Notre Dame in the teams' first-ever conference matchup. The game begins a three-game homestand for Wake Forest, who will also host Syracuse and Georgia Tech during the stretch.
