WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Jazmen Russell recorded 22 kills while Kylie Long had 16 to lead Wake Forest volleyball in a 3-0 (28-26, 25-19, 25-16) sweep against Louisville.

Wake Forest (15-13, 5-9 ACC) hit .438 in the match against the visiting Cardinals (15-12, 7-8 ACC) which was the second best hitting percentage for the Deacons this season. The Demon Deacons honored seniors Russell, Danae Rosendall and Ashlee Rusk prior to the match.

Russell recorded double-digit kills for the 17th consecutive match and paced the Deacons with a .459 hitting percentage. She also added seven digs and a block. Long added five digs while Rosendall had 25 assists followed by Sophia Dodd who had 23.

Caroline Wolf led the squad with 12 digs as Matalee Reed had a team-high four blocks. Rusk had two blocks and two kills in her final match at Reynolds Gym.

The first set went back-and-forth with Louisville taking a 12-10 lead midway through, forcing Wake Forest to take a timeout. After that timeout, Wake Forest tied it up at 13-13 and kept it even. Tied 26-26, Wolf had a service ace followed by a kill from Long who sealed the 28-26 win.

In set two, Wake Forest took a 17-9 lead after back-to-back kills form Russell and held Louisville at bay, winning the set 25-19 on a kill from Long.

The teams battled early in the third set until Wake Forest went on a 7-3 run to go up 10-6 which forced the Cardinals to take a timeout. The Deacons led by as much as eight points in the set. Leading 23-16 after three straight errors from Louisville, the Deacs had back-to-back blocks to seal the 3-0 win.

Notes
- After posting 25 kills on Friday night against Notre Dame, Russell had over 20 kills on Saturday, making it the 10th time she has had over 20 kills in a match this season.
- Russell had nine of her kills in set one and 11 in set two.
- Long had 10 of her kills in the first set.
- Wake Forest swept an ACC opponent for the first time this season and the first since at Georgia Tech on Oct. 20, 2013.
- It was the first sweep for the Deacons since Sept. 13 against Stetson.

Wake Forest head on the road to Virginia Tech on Nov. 21 for a 7 p.m. match.
