FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. - Romain Bogaerts fell in the opening round of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship on Thursday afternoon.
Seeded fifth and ranked 20th, Bogaerts took on Georgia's No. 17-ranked Nathan Pasha. The Bulldog won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
The match was a rematch of a quarterfinal from the ITA Men's All-American Championships, in which Bogaerts earned a 7-6 (6), 6-2 win over Pasha.
Wake Forest is in action this weekend at the Champaign Challenger, and will then begin preparing for the start of the spring season in January.
