RALEIGH, N.C. - Behind 34 points from the ACC's leading scorer T.J. Warren, NC State evened the season series with Wake Forest after an 82-67 defeat of the Demon Deacons on Tuesday evening at PNC Arena.

Wake Forest (14-10, 4-7 ACC) welcomed back its own leading scorer Codi Miller-McIntyre, who sat out last week's game at Duke with an ankle injury, but it was not enough to keep up with the surging Wolfpack who have now won five of their past seven games since losing to the Deacons in mid-January.

NC State (16-8, 6-5 ACC) took control midway through the first half in this one, using a 9-2 run to break a 35-35 stalemate. The Wolfpack led 46-38 at the half, outscoring the Deacons 7-1 over the final three minutes of the period.

Miller-McIntyre came off the bench to lead Wake Forest with 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting and a game-high seven assists.

Travis McKie and Devin Thomas were also in double figures with 11 points apiece. Thomas also led the Deacons with six rebounds.

Warren finished with 34 points on 15-of-26 shooting, including 23 points in the first half. Ralston Turner added 16 points for the Wolfpack.

Wake Forest and NC State have split their season series each of the past two years. The Deacons beat the Wolfpack 70-69 on Jan. 15 after Miller-McIntyre sank a driving layup with four seconds to play.

Wake Forest returns home to host Florida State on Saturday at the LJVM Coliseum. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. The game will be televised on the ACC's regional sports networks and can also be heard on the Wake Forest IMG Sports Network.
