Wake Forest to Compete in Texas Relays

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - After a successful Wake Forest Open last weekend, the Wake Forest track and field team will compete in the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium March 26-29.
Wednesday Results
Freshman Alyssa Thompson competed in the first four events of the women's heptathlon. Thompson crossed the line in 14.73 in the 100m hurdles earning 878 pts, jumped for 1.60m in the high jump earning 736 points, threw for 9.14m in the shot put earning 473 points and crossed the line in the 200m with a time of 24.74 earning 911 points. Thompson currently has 2,998 points at the completion of events on day one. On Thursday Thompson will compete in the remaining heptathlon events of long jump, javelin and 800m run.
Thursday Schedule
Women
Freshmen Alyssa Thompson will wrap up the women's heptathlon competing in the long jump, javelin and 800m run.
Men
Sophomore Michael Cyphers will compete in the men's pole vault section "B" slated to begin at 3:45 p.m. CST.
The Deacs will travel to Raleigh, N.C. this weekend to compete in the Raleigh Relays.
