Deacs Embark on Challenging Spring Break Trip

No. 21 Wake Forest will spend the first part of its Spring Break on a difficult trip to the Midwest, facing No. 15 Oklahoma State on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and No. 4 Oklahoma on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Demon Deacons enter the weekend at 8-2 after taking down No. 28 VCU 4-1 in Winston-Salem on Wednesday.

Top Storylines

Wake Forest played dominating doubles in its last match against VCU, gaining early breaks in all three matches to cruise through the doubles point. Doubles has been a key for the Deacons this season. They are 8-0 when winning the doubles point and 0-2 when losing it.
Adam Lee and Jon Ho teamed up for the first time this season at No. 2 doubles against VCU, winning 8-2. The duo went 8-1 in doubles together last year.
Ho stretched his singles winning streak to five matches with a win at No. 4 against VCU. He is 16-6 in singles this season, including 8-2 in dual matches.
Freshman Maksim Kan leads the team with a 16-4 singles record this year and has only lost once in his last nine matches.
Oklahoma State and Oklahoma bring impressive records into this weekend's matches. The Sooners' only loss of the year came at the hands of No. 3 UCLA while the Cowboys' only defeat was a 4-3 decision on the road at Tulsa. Both teams are perfect at home this season.
