Will Zalatoris Wins The Champions Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Incoming-freshman Will Zalatoris lapped the field at one of the top high school golf tournaments this past weekend, winning The Champions Invitational by 11 shots.

Zalatoris carded rounds of 67-66-75 to finish the event at 8-under par. That was one-off the tournament's 54-hole record while his 11-under par 36-hole score was the lowest in tournament history. A total of 40 high school teams from multiple states competed in the event which was held at the The Golf Club at Terra Lago in Indio, California.

This was Zalatoris' second victory this spring and it also comes after shooting 59 in a round two weeks ago.
