Wake Forest Tournament History:
- This is the first playing of the Primland Collegiate Invitational
Wake Forest Notes:
- Wake Forest opened the season with three under-par rounds at the Carpet Capital Collegiate Classic and finished in 8th place at 5-under par.
- Davis Womble enjoyed the best tournament of his career, finishing at 7-under par and tying for fourth at the Carpet Capital. He led the field for the week in par-4 scoring.
- Freshman Will Zalatoris finished his first tournament as a Demon Deacon at 1-under par at the Carpet Capital.
- Zalatoris had a tremendous summer which included winning the US Junior Amateur and making a deep run in the US Amateur. He has risen to the No. 20 ranked amateur in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
- Senior Cyrus Stewart had a great end to last season as he earned a trip to the NCAA Championship.
- A total of three Demon Deacon competed at the US Amateur this summer. Will Zalatoris advanced to the round of 16 while Davis Womble and Andrew Winters also competed.
- The Demon Deacons return all by one letterwinner from a year ago.
