Ho Reaches Qualifying Rounds of ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. - Jon Ho won twice more on Sunday to advance out of pre-qualifying into tomorrow's qualifying bracket, leading Wake Forest men's tennis at the ITA All-American Championships hosted by the University of Tulsa on Sunday.
In the third round, seventeenth-seeded Ho swept Andrew Watson from Memphis, 6-3, 6-4.
The following round, Ho needed three sets to dispatch Boise State's Brendan McClain, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, therefore punching his ticket into the qualifying draw.
Ho begins qualifying play Monday, taking on fourth-seeded and No. 50-ranked Ben Wagland from the University of Georgia.
The other three Demon Deacons who advanced into Sunday action were eliminated during pre-qualifying rounds.
Freshman Skander Mansouri knocked off Boise State's sixth-seeded Garrett Patton in the third round, 6-3, 7-6 (5). However, No. 22-seeded Tomas Stillman from UTSA defeated Mansouri 6-1, 7-6 (5) to clinch a spot in qualifying.
Christian Seraphim also advanced into the fourth round. He defeated ACC and in-state rival Simon Norenius from NC State, 6-3, 6-7 (3), 6-1. Then, Aleks Vukic of Illinois came from behind to defeat Seraphim, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
After winning twice Saturday, Anthony Delcore fell in his third round matchup. Troy's Daniel Bustamante rebounded from a first-set defeat to win 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.
No. 69-ranked Maksim Kan received entry into the qualifying draw, where he'll take on Notre Dame's Josh Hager. No. 20-ranked Romain Bogaerts will open in the main draw, starting Oct. 2.
