The Demon Deacon men did not host a meet in 2014, but placed second to Florida State at the Wake Forest Invitational in 2013, paced by an eighth-place finish by Kent Garrett and a ninth-place finish by Alex Rose.

At that meet, the women received top-20 finishes by Kaitlyn Oliver and Kristin Weisse en route to a team finish of fourth.

The Deacs also hosted the 2013 ACC Championship meets in Kernersville.

Most recently, both Wake Forest cross country teams competed in the Royals Challenge in Charlotte, N.C.

The men took third place in the 39-team field, headed by Evan Little, who came in ninth. Simon Holden and Alex Giacco also finished inside the top-15. The women did not have a team score with only three student-athletes running, but Sarah Fahmy and Isabelle Harouche placed 17th and 19th, respectively, in the 324-runner field.

Following Friday's meet, both Wake Forest squads will take a week off from competition before making the trip to the ACC Championships in Tallahassee, Fla. on Oct. 30.
