Deacs Go for Titles Tuesday at ITA Regionals

CARY, N.C. -- Wake Forest men's tennis will be well represented on Tuesday in the singles and doubles finals of the ITA Carolina Regionals after the Demon Deacons put together another successful day at Cary Tennis Park on Monday.
On the singles side, No. 6-seed Skander Mansouri took down fourth-seeded Jack Murray of North Carolina in convincing fashion, 6-0, 6-1. He advances to Tuesday's final, where he will take on another opponent from UNC, top-seeded Brett Clark. In the other semifinal on Monday, No. 3-seed Jon Ho dropped a tough three-set match to Clark by the score of 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-3.
In doubles, No. 8-seeded Romain Bogaerts and Maksim Kan picked up two victories Monday to reach the finals. First in the quarterfinals, the two topped Harrison O'Keefe and Gabriel Friedrich of South Carolina 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (7) before beating Furman's Cameron Green and Adam Steryous 5-7 (7), 6-3, 1-0 (6) in the semifinals. Also in the quarterfinals, top-seeded Skander Mansouri and Christian Seraphim fell 1-6, 7-5, 1-0 (6) to Green and Steryous.
The tournament concludes on Tuesday with Wake Forest searching for titles in both draws at Cary Tennis Park.
