NEWTON, Mass. -- Wake Forest women's soccer battled back from a late deficit, but fell to Boston College on a second-overtime penalty kick at Newton Soccer Field on Thursday night.

The Demon Deacons (4-11-2, 1-7 ACC) rebounded after surrendering an 81st-minute goal to Hayley Dowd.

Less than two minutes later, a Nonie Frishette free kick found Sarah Medina, who recorded her second assist as Kahla Seymour put away her second goal of the season to even the score at 1-1 at the 82:00 mark.

In the second overtime period, a Boston College (10-6-1, 4-3-1 ACC) player went down in the box and was awarded a penalty kick. McKenzie Meehan put it away for her 13th goal of the season, a game-winner.

Frishette made six saves for the Deacs, while Lindsay Preston made three.

Wake Forest continues its road trip on Sunday, heading to Syracuse for a 1 p.m. game.
