Deacs Excel in ITA All-American Pre-Qualifying

Saint Francis Health Systems ITA All-American Championships Draw

TULSA, Okla. -- Four members of the Wake Forest men's tennis team completed first-round pre-qualifying singles action of the Saint Francis Health Systems ITA Men's All-American Championships on Saturday with all four players picking up victories.
Sam Bloom, who is a No. 17-32 seed in the draw, earned a 6-2, 7-5 win over Garrett Auproux of Cal Poly while Maksim Kan topped Juan Marino of Arkansas by the score of 6-4, 7-5. Anthony Delcore also took down Marquette's Kris Trukov by the score of 6-3, 6-2. The only Wake Forest match to go three sets had Keivon Tabrizi topping Nebraska's Toby Boyer 7-5, 4-6, 6-2.
The four players will continue play in the draw on Sunday in the Round of 128. Should a player win, the Round of 64 will also be completed on Sunday prior to the final round of the pre-qualifying draw on Monday.
