CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The Wake Forest men's cross country team finished 23rd in a 32-team field at the NCAA Southeast Regional at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Va. Friday afternoon.

Sebastian Fischbach paced the Demon Deacons in the 10k race with a 32:02.3 time.

Behind Fischbach, Alexander Giacco came in 112th place, five seconds behind the sophomore from Vienna, Austria.

Rounding out the scoring five for the Deacs were Evan Little in 128th, Kent Garrett in 149th and Ryan Horgan, who crossed the finish line less than six seconds later, in 154th.

Fischbach finished first on the team for the second meet in a row after pacing Wake Forest with a 78th-place showing two weeks ago at the ACC Championships in Tallahassee, Fla.

The average time for the Deacons on Friday was 32:28.5.
