Ariel Stephenson was named the ACC Freshman of the Week on Nov. 16 after averaging 17 points per game during opening weekend. She scored 21 points in her collegiate debut against LSU and followed it up with 13 points in the win over ETSU.
The Demon Deacons were picked to finish 14th in the ACC this season by both the Blue Ribbon Panel and the coaches' preseason poll.
