DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - After going through five days of qualifying in Daytona Beach, Fla., Wake Forest's Cheyenne Woods finished in the top 20 of LPGA Stage III Qualifying Sunday at LPGA International to earn her LPGA Tour membership through Category 12 on the priority list for the 2016 season.
Woods shot a final round 69 on Sunday to finish tied for 13th to earn her LPGA card for the second-straight season.
Nannette Hill and Natalie Sheary both made it to Sunday's final round but did not finish in the top 20. Hill tied for 57th and Sheary tied for 53rd and both earned a spot on the Symetra Tour next year.
Jean Chua and Allison Emrey did not make it to Sunday's final round.
Those five former Demon Deacons along with Laura Diaz, Michelle Shin, Olafia Kristinsdottir, Marissa Dodd give Wake Forest nine golfers in the professional ranks. That marks the most Demon Deacons on various tours at one time in the history of the program.
