Wake Forest Tournament History
Twelve of 16 schools in the field are ranked in the Top-35 by both Golfstat and Golfweek, including nine teams in the Top-15. In addition, as many as 12 of Golfstat's Top-25 individuals are expected to take to the course.
This will be the Demon Deacons' tenth-straight season opening the spring at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
The best finish in the previous seven appearances came in 2009 when three individual top-20 finishes propelled Wake to a runner-up finish.
Individually, senior Natalie Sheary won the event as a freshman in 2008 after rounds of 72-71-72. The win was the first of her career and is the only Demon Deacon individual title.
Last season, Wake Forest finished 9th in the 16-team field. Sierra Sims carded a final round 73 and finished tied for 12th individually.
