
Zalatoris, Woodward in Top 10 at Bulls Bay

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Woody Woodward and Will Zalatoris fired rounds below par and moved in to the top 10 at The Hootie at Bulls Bay. Wake Forest is tied for eighth after 36 holes.
Woodward fired a 3-under 69 with four birdies on Monday to move in to a tie for ninth place in the individual standings. Woodward moved up 23 spots during the second round. He is 2-under for the tournament with 18 holes remaining.
Zalatoris also had four birdies in Monday's second round and finished with a 2-under 70. The freshman is 3-under and tied for seventh at the event. Zalatoris has been even or under par in all eight rounds this spring.
Sophomore Danny Guise followed his opening round 70 with a 4-over 76 on Monday. He dropped to 30th in the individual standings. Davis Womble also carded a 76 in the second round. Freshman Paul McBride rounded out the Wake Forest scores with a 77.
Wake Forest remains in eighth place with 18 holes to play on Tuesday. The Demon Deacons are tied with College of Charleston and Virginia at 2-over 578. South Carolina took over the team lead at 9-under with Duke in second place at 5-under. Wake Forest is just seven strokes out of second place with one round remaining.
The Demon Deacons will start the final round at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning in the first wave off the first tee. Wake is paired with the College of Charleston and Coastal Carolina.
