Zalatoris Finishes Fifth at The Hootie at Bulls Bay

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Freshman Will Zalatoris fired a 4-under 68 to tie for fifth in the final round of The Hootie at Bulls Bay. Wake Forest placed eighth in the tournament.
Zalatoris was under par in all three rounds of The Hootie to post his third top five finish of the season. Zalatoris carded a 7-under 209 (71-70-68) for the tournament and finished tied for fifth with three other golfers. The freshman has been under par in every tournament this season.
As a team, Wake Forest came in eighth with rounds of 287-291-280 to finish 6-under. South Carolina won The Hootie at 26-under (280-287-271).
Woody Woodward posted his second-straight top-15 finish with a score of 212. He fired a final round 2-under 70 to finish 4-under and tied for 14th at The Hootie. He finished 12th as an individual at last week's Schenkel Invitational.
Danny Guise rebounded from a second round 76 to card a 2-under 70 on Tuesday. He finished the tournament with an even-par 216 and tied for 29th in the individual standings.
Davis Womble finished tied for 50th after a final round 73 while freshman Paul McBride was two shots behind Womble in the final standings at 8-over for the week. McBride carded an even-par 72 on Tuesday.
Wake Forest will next take part in the Yale Spring Invitational in New Haven, Conn. on April 18-19.
