Wake Forest Opens ACC Tournament vs. Virginia Tech >>
Wake Forest will open the 62nd annual ACC Tournament on Tuesday afternoon when the No. 11-seeded Demon Deacons take on the No. 14-seeded Virginia Tech Hokies.
Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum. The game will be televised on the ACC Network and on ESPN2. It can also be heard on the Wake Forest IMG Sports Network.

Wake Forest is coming off a 79-61 loss in its regular season finale at Boston College on Saturday. The Eagles built a 38-30 lead at halftime and then took control early in the second period, never letting the Deacons get closer than nine points after BC scored the first four points of the half.
Codi Miller-McIntyre led the way with a game-high 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting for the Deacons. It was Miller-McIntyre's second-straight 20-point performance and eighth of the season.

Codi Miller-McIntyre was named honorable mention All-ACC on Sunday, marking the first conference honors of his career.
In conference play, Codi Miller-McIntyre ranks in the top 10 in the ACC in scoring (t-9th), assists (9th) and field goal percentage (t-6th).
Devin Thomas is tied for the ACC lead with 12 double-doubles on the season. His 21 career double-doubles rank second among active ACC players.
6-10 forward Dinos Mitoglou ranked eighth in the ACC in 3-point percentage (39.8 percent) during conference play.

After beating the Hokies 73-70 on Jan. 31 in Winston-Salem, Wake Forest now leads the all-time series with Virginia Tech 30-29.
The Deacons have won three straight and four of the past five meetings in the series.
ACC Tournament History >>
Wake Forest and Virginia Tech have met just once previously in ACC Tournament play with the No. 3-seeded Hokies winning a quarterfinal game 71-52 over the No. 11-seeded Deacons in2007. The game came just hours after Wake Forest picked up a double-overtime win over Georgia Tech.
Wake Forest is 43-57 all-time at the ACC Tournament, including a 17-23 mark at the Greensboro Coliseum.
The Deacons have four ACC Tournament titles to their credit, winning the event in 1961 and 1962 in Raleigh and in 1995 and 1996 in Greensboro.

The winner of Tuesday's game will advance to face No. 6-seeded Miami on Wednesday at 9 p.m. The Deacons beat the Hurricanes 72-70 on Feb. 11 in Winston-Salem. Dinos Mitoglou led Wake Forest with 21 points on 6-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc in the win over Miami.
A possible quarterfinal matchup with No. 3-seeded Notre Dame awaits on Thursday. The Deacons fell to the Irish 88-75 on Feb. 17 in South Bend. Wake Forest trailed just 43-41 at halftime, but Notre Dame opened the second period with eight straight points to take control.
