Wake Forest Tournament History
This is the 18th Bryan National Collegiate and the Demon Deacons have been the co-host with UNC Greensboro each of the previous 17 seasons.
Of the 18 teams in the field there are 11 ranked in the top 50 by Golfstat.com, including four in the top 20.
Wake Forest has won the BNC two times, including a two-shot victory in 2011.
The Deacs have finished in the top-5 nine times, including three runner-up finishes.
Wake has had two individual winners in the 15 years - Nuria Clua in 2003 and Cheyenne Woods in 2010.
Last year Wake Forest finished third behind Duke and South Carolina. Sierra Sims tied for third at 4-over par.
Wake Forest Notes
Wake Forest is ranked No. 13 by both Golfstat.com and by Golfweek.
Two Demon Deacons ranked in the top 50 by Golfweek led by Sierra Sims at No. 26. Allison Emrey comes in at No. 31.
For the second straight tournament Wake Forest finished fifth. The Demon Deacons climbed four spots on the final day of the LSU Tiger Golf Classic to finish in fifth place. Allison Emrey tied for seventh at 3-over for the weekend. She carded a 1-over 73 on Saturday and finished the tournament with nine birdies and 36 pars. This was Emrey's fourth top-10 finish of the season.
Sierra Sims leads the team with a 72371 stroke average and Allison Emrey has a stroke average of 72.81.
Wake Forest has placed in the top six in all but one tournament this season.
