
Play Suspended at NCAA Women's Golf Championship

BRADENTON, Fla. - The second round of the NCAA Championship in Bradenton, Fla. was suspended due to lightning with Wake Forest still on the course. The Demon Deacons have between three and five holes to complete on Sunday before the third round can begin.
Wake Forest is in 18th place at 46-over in the second round. The top three teams were also still on the course when play was suspended. Southern California is in the lead at 14-over while Duke is in second place and Tennessee is in third.
Twelve of the 24 teams completed play before the tournament action in the second round was halted. The suspended second round will resume Sunday morning at 8:25 a.m. and the third round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Afternoon tee times will begin at 1 p.m.
Marissa Dodd is 2-over in the second round after with four holes remaining. She had two birdies on the front nine with bogeys on 10 and 13 after the turn. She had just completed hole 14 when play was halted. She is currently tied for fifth.
Sierra Sims also has four holes to remaining in round two when the teams get back on the course on Sunday. She is 8-over for the round and 14-over for the tournament.
After an eagle on 12, Mariana Sims headed in to the clubhouse at 7-over for the round. She has three holes to complete on Sunday morning.
Erica Herr is 7-over with three holes to complete and Allison Emrey is 12-over with five holes to play.
